Psalm 100

Sing joyfully to God, all the earth; serve the Lord with gladness.
Enter into his presence with great joy.

Know that the Lord alone is God;
he has made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people,
and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise;
give thanks to him. Praise his name:

for the Lord is gracious;
his mercy is everlasting
and his truth endures for all generations.

Psalm 118

Praise ye the Lord for he is good: because his mercy endures for ever.

Program Notes

This Is The Day is this composer’s response to the great faithfulness that God shows us each and every moment of each day. Truly, This Is The Day that the Lord has made and we should be glad, happy, and really enjoy ALL of the Lord’s days.

The piano left hand for the most part should imitate an electric bass guitar. Use the pedal sparingly to insure a bouncy and very rhythmic performance. Electric bass guitar and a drumset can enhance the performance and add to the rhythmic spirit.
